Here the answers to some questions that we get quite often:

How quickly can I get my shade?
Normally 1-3 weeks (approx) from receipt of order and deposit, subject to stock availability. All delivery times provided upon quotation are estimates. Once handed over to our freight carriers, actual delivery time of your order can be affected by means outside of our control.

Do you deliver?
Yes we do, at an additional cost. Please contact us to discuss this further

I have an old shade that just needs a bit of a revamp, can you help me?
We sure can! We offer a lampshade recovery service where we use the wire from an
existing shade and apply new fabric to give it a makeover. Check out “lampshade recovery”
in the “View our range” section on our site

Can I come in to see you to see some of your shades?
If you would like to discuss your order in person, you may visit us in the studio. Please contact us to arrange an appointment to come in!

I only want a shade for a short period of time, can you help me?
Yes we can! We offer a lampshade hire service. Please contact us to discuss our hire terms

My energy saver light bulb doesn't fit into my Shady Designs lampshade, why?
Standard fittings have been around for decades and were never designed with energy
saver light bulbs in mind. Energy saver bulbs have a larger transformer on the bottom
that is a problem, there are certain brands that fit easily. A long term solution is to shave
down the plastic fitting using some regular old sandpaper.
You only need to file off a few millimetres until it’s a perfect fit.
Be rough with the plastic and have fun the result is worth the effort!
